Project Helios is not the ultimate goal for research into the Mallet. It's just something they realized they could potentially do so they tried it. They are hoping it's something that's reproducible. They think it would be really neat at least. But it doesn't really figure into immediate long term plans. It's more of a proof of concept. It probably works. They don't know for sure yet. I guess we'll see.
